In-fighting: Trump replaces Reince Priebus with John Kelly as chief of staff

US President Donald Trump has replaced Reince Priebus with homeland security secretary John Kelly as chief of staff in a major White House shake-up of his administrative team.
In his characteristic manner, Trump made the announcement of the appointment of retired General Kelly in a series of tweets on his time-line, a day after his new communications director, Anthony Scaramucci, accused Priebus of leaking information to reporters in a profanity-laced tirade.
“I am pleased to inform you that I have just named General/Secretary John F Kelly as White House Chief of Staff,” Trump said via Twitter on Friday.
Moments after his announcement on Twitter, Trump told reporters that “John Kelly will do a fantastic job”.
According to reports, Trump made the decision to replace Preibus after he lost confidence in him and privately questioned his competence after major legislative items failed to pass congress.

Nigerian woman begs ex-boyfriend to release her destiny

A young woman who is suffering from a strange ailment believes the man she dumped after he took her to Europe is behind her problems.

This woman believes a man she dumped is behind her afflictions

A Nigerian woman has become an Internet sensation after a video she posted begging her ex-boyfriend to forgive her and free her destiny from where he tied it became viral.

In the video, the lady narrates how her ex-boyfriend whom she named as Kelvin, an indigene of Edo State, has been behind her travails after he sold his family land and took her to Europe only for her to dump him for another man.
The lady who lamented how she has been spiritually afflicted by a strange ailment that has defied any form of cure is seen begging the said Kelvin to kindly forgive her and free her destiny so she could get healing and get things working for her.
According to her, she believes Kelvin has a hand in her affliction because she dumped him after he brought her to Europe because most of the places her family has taken her to, they have been alluded to him being the one behind her travails.
The lady also claimed to have spent a lot of money on the strange illness but has had no improvement, adding that everywhere her parents visited in Nigeria to prayer for her, they were told that Kelvin was behind her ailment.
She is heard saying in the video:
“I have been sick since 2011; my illness did not improve, neither did it deteriorate. I have been spending two days at home and two weeks in the hospital; in fact, I must be admitted to the hospital every month.
I take nothing less than 16 different tablets daily and even change my cream every month. Anywhere my family goes to pray for my health, they always tell them it is Kelvin, that the man that brought me to Europe is behind my sickness.
Then my family went to his parent’s house but they said my family was accusing them of witchcraft.”

Big Church Group as well as Big church Foundation have seen Churchill assisting various fire victims as well as the federal fire service.

Dr Olakunle Churchill Oladunni is fast leaving his imprint on the sands of time with his varied businesses and act of philanthropy.

His Big Church Group as well as Big church Foundation have seen him assisting various fire victims as well as the federal fire service. In this interview with Pulse, he speaks on his business and charitable ventures.

Why the decision to contribute to the Federal Fire Service?

It's my passion to contribute to charity. As a vital agency that saves lives with the risk involved, my foundation decided to mirror down to Federal Fire service by donating a Life Saving Ambulance as a way of supporting the survival of humanity. We also considered the prevention of the fire disaster in every sector which informed the decision of giving 1000 fire extinguishers, 1000 fire blankets as well as smoke detectors.  This is basically a standard for the foundation to give to charity from the 10% of all the company earnings.

Y‎ou also visited the National Trauma Centre at the National Hospital where you donated quite a lot of materials to victims of fire accident, what informed this?

‎It's still in the spirit of saving lives to promote the fire awareness campaign, we considered it important to reach out  to the fire victims because of  their unfortunate circumstance. In their situation they needed our support and encouragement so we had to visit them, pay some of their bills and give them gifts. Donating fire equipments is one part while supporting fire accident victims is another aspect which boils down to humanitarian gesture to give back to the society.

What more plans do you have for the fire service knowing fully well that you broke the record of being the first man and head of an NGO that donated immensely to the service?

With this exercise, we look forward to giving out more fire preventive equipment lik‎e fire blankets, fire extinguishers and smoke dictators for our clients, homes, offices and even vehicles. We already have a partnership with Federal Fire Service and we intend to host Fire Awareness Seminar this year. ‎It will be a grand event that will attract specialists in Fire Fields to educate the public and individuals on how to tackle the emergencies. My Foundation hopes to sponsor a campaign media calling for well meaning Nigerians to support the Federal Fire service as well as the fire victims in the hospitals

‎‎How do you feel seeing so much joy on the victims' faces?‎‎

Oh! I feel so touched and emotional that despite their pains from fire accident they feel excited. It truly gives me joy to put smiles on the faces of these victims whose situations are heartbreaking. ‎I thank God that our presence at the hospital brought so much joy to them and we pray God grant them speedy recovery. Big Church Foundation will always visit them from time to time to checkup on their health.

How would you say your career has been so far?

My career has been great. It’s been growth all the way and I’m thankful for every stage of it. I worked very hard, had a focus, in fact I started doing business very early in life - at age 22- but the expansion of my business is not just by my hard work; I thank God almighty for rewarding my hard work with his blessings and enlarging my territory over the years.

Your business interest lies in five basic areas -security, real estate, charity, agriculture, training and consultancy. How did this portfolio come into being?

I would like to first state that they didn’t all come alive at the same time, they came to exist one by one, or two by two. My company is a group of companies with six subsidiaries; ICT Security, Real Estate, Charity, Agriculture and Mining, Training and Consultancy as well as Entertainment. The first one to come into existence was the Real Estate Company that I recently renamed after my son; King Andrea Realtors LTD, after which we started the ICT security company due to my love for technology. I’ve always been a programmer and a technical person hence the need to let my passion play out in my work. Subsequently, the rest of the companies followed and it’s been great.

Does your organization work alone or through partnerships?

At various stages we have had to work hand in hand with some other charity organizations. We are mostly an independent foundation; however, where we see good partnership proposals or opportunities we sure do give it a shot.
Olakunle Chirchill Oladunni

To what extent would you say you’ve contributed to society and humanitarian services? And approximately how much?

Hmmm… How much? I definitely cannot place a figure on that (even approximately) this is because charity has always been my thing even before my foundation came to being. Also, what we give isn’t only in monetary terms so that’ll be difficult to place, but all I can say is God has blessed me to bless people and I won't relent until my last breath and day on earth.

There have been rumors about your charity organization being a fraud, what can you say about that?

Well, I can understand if some persons can’t believe that the work God is doing through us is even possible but it’s just the answer to my prayer. I have always prayed to God to give me that miracle that would sound like a lie, so if people find it hard to believe that we are legit and working independently then that means God is doing more enormous things through us than we even realize. However, we are real and legitimate and everyone should join the movement and become generous givers as much as they can.

How do you get funding for your charitable works?

Fortunately, we run a group of companies that have 6 subsidiaries so we have a fixed habit of taking 10 percent from each and every one of the subsidiaries to put into charity. Therefore, one-tenth of revenues from the Real Estate, ICT, Agriculture, Consultancy and entertainment goes into charity on a monthly basis and that is the major funding for the foundation.

Where did you start your charity organization? Malaysia?

Charity for me has been on since I was a lot younger, however we incorporated it into an organization in Ghana. I have never been to Malaysia all my life.

Wow! Never been to Malaysia? There were rumors that you once lived there with your ex?

Oh Really? That’s definitely not me because I have never been to Malaysia, not even once. I met my ex in Ghana after she relocated from Malaysia.

What can you say about philanthropy?

Wow! There’s a whole lot to say about philanthropy because for me it has been a lifestyle and not a business, a job or something you do because you are told to. It is absolutely a selfless service to humanity, you get to always put others first, feel their pain and help them grow in their various fields. It has a lot to do with building others, raising them as much as you can, making them happy and overall making their lives brighter and better than you met them. I always tell people “Never let a day pass without you helping at least one person” and it doesn’t have to be through material things alone (though important) but other resources and emotional support could also go a long way because what some people get depressed for to the point of almost taking their own lives, could have felt better with just a little more love, care, smile, words of encouragement and emotional support from another person.

What has been your motivation to keep up with Charity?

God himself has been my utmost motivation. God made me understand the kingdom principles of giving at a very early stage of my life and that has kept me in check. God is the ultimate father of wealth so if you can get it from God, nothing stops you from first giving back to him the 10 percent he requires from us (and even more depending on how you are inspired). And since I believe that going the EXTRA mile brings about EXTRA results, I would say nothing also stops you from setting aside yet another 10percent to make humanity happy. From my life experiences I can boldly say that when you give bountifully, it equals insuring your life in God, and the moment your life is insured by the almighty there’s nothing that can work against your progress in life. I’ve lost count of God’s blessings over my life that I received through charity and I can neither thank him enough nor stop doing the things he has blessed me through.

What advice would you give to young people who are still contemplating whether to be givers or not?

More blessed is the hand that gives than the hand that receives. When you give, God is sure to bless you even more… I’m saying this because I’ve seen the evidence in my life so I’m urging everyone to imbibe a giving culture and watch what happens within as short as one year in their lives. Also, when you give you don’t necessarily have to announce it to the world because God himself doesn’t go about telling the world what he has done for you, I understand that sometimes we have to let people know what we do just to encourage them to do the same and in turn make the world a better place. However, there’s a whole lot that we do and keep silent about. Finally, you need to recognize the anointing of God upon your life, some are born to be givers and some are motivators while others are called to minister and so on. Ask God to show you his purpose for your life and life would be a lot easier.

Any upcoming projects from the Big Church Foundation we should be expecting?

Yes! We are actually working on empowering a thousand youths per state and the FCT, and that amounts to 36,000 youths in all states and 1,000 from the FCT, the flag off holds before the end of the year. We intend to empower them in the area of agriculture, and e-agriculture and ICT in partnership with Microsoft so everyone should anticipate.

I’ll commit suicide rather than go to an American prison, British hacker says

I'll commit suicide rather than go to an American prison, British hacker says

32-year-old British hacker Lauri Love says he will rather commit suicide than end up with a long-term imprisonment in an American jail.
Two years ago, Love was arrested by officers of the Metropolitan Police Service who appeared at the door of the Suffolk home where Love lives with his parents to arrest him on an extradition request from the US.
Love was arrested for hacking into dozens of government computer systems, including those of the FBI, US Army and Department of Defense, stealing ‘massive amounts’ of data and defacing official websites.
Last September, Westminster Magistrates’ Court granted the extradition request. If found guilty of the charges, Love faces up to 99 years in prison and $9 million (£7 million) in fines.
He is appealing the decision in the High Court in November on the grounds that he has Asperger’s syndrome and severe depression, and would be a suicide risk in the care of a US penal system unable to deal with his conditions.

How Thousands Of Nigerians Die Trying To Cross The Mediterranean Sea To Get To Europe

Horrifying photographs showing pregnant women and children among dead migrants found in a rubber dinghy has shone a light on the grim reality of the desperate scramble to cross the Mediterranean into Europe.

A Spanish charity found 167 migrants alive and 13 dead in yet another rescue operation involving rubber boats crossing the deadly stretch of sea.

More than 2,200 migrants have died trying to reach Europe across the Mediterranean so far this year according to the International Organization for Migration - meaning on average 10 people a day die making the journey.

The latest grim salvation mission was 15 miles off the coast of Sabratha in Libya and the migrants on board were said to be sub-Saharan and the failed journey resulted in more than a dozen deaths.

As some migrants' corpses lie naked in the middle of the dinghy, others can be seen in the pictures sitting around in life-jackets waiting to be rescued.

The European Union has extended the mandate of its naval operation targeting migrant smuggling in the Mediterranean until the end of 2018 and tasked it with monitoring illegal oil trafficking from Libya.

Operation Sophia, which has naval ships and aircraft monitoring the Mediterranean, aims to disrupt smuggling networks and train Libya's coastguard as a way of stemming the flow of desperate migrants attempting the risky crossing from Libya to Italy in unseaworthy boats.

You Have No Right To Stop Elections In Anambra’- Obi Of Onitsha Warns IPOB

The Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Alfred Nnaemeka Achebe has warned the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) against carrying out its plans to disrupt the governorship election in Anambra State.
The monarch said IPOB had no right to stop election in Anambra State, insisting that the November 18 gubernatorial election must hold as scheduled by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the state.
Igwe Achebe stated this when the State leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo led by Chief Damian Okeke-Ogene visited him in his palace.
He said that the traditional institution in the state had endorsed the rotational of governorship slot to every zone, just like the town Union and Ohanaeze Ndigbo had done.
According to him, “The election is for us not for the entire country. You cannot have a referendum in one part of the country without carrying other parts of the country along and the government must support and sponsor it before it will be organized and not curving out some part of the country for the referendum. The election must hold and nobody or group of persons will stop it. Nobody should come to the state to cause unnecessary tension”.
Igwe Achebe, who doubles as the Chairman of Anambra State Traditional Ruler’s Council called on the Ndigbo in other parts of the state and country to invest at home inn order to make Igbo land an economic hub in the county.
“Our people should come home to invest in industry, factory, build schools and hospitals that will be beneficial to our people. We need non partisan strong institution to create good environment for development.
“I commend the new Ohanaeze Ndigbo leadership both at the national and state level for their efforts within six months to unite Ndigbo,” Achebe stated.
In his remarks, the State Ohanaeze Chairman, Chief Okeke-Ogene said they visited the traditional ruler to show respect and to carry the traditional institution along in whatever they do as custodian of culture in Igbo land.
“There is nothing will do without you. If there is any case that is beyond us, we will consult you for advise and possible resolution.
“Obi of Onitsha is bridge between the people and the government and his throne is falling point for Ndigbo, Onitsha culture is a complete and standard that other Igbo land emulates”, he said.

Private University vs Public University: This debate is senseless

The debate about which type of university is better is pointless.

Nigerian Graduates

The public university versus private university has poked up online again. Who knows what started this new round of debate.

Tweets have been going back forth about which set of universities is the best- private or public.
The private university clique will tell you it has the most employable graduates in the market.

Covenant University
This claim is especially made by young adults who graduated from church-funded universities. Higher institutions owned by churches make up a chunk of private universities in the country.Covenant University, Redeemers University, and Babcock University are the top three church funded private universities in the country.
Babcock University
During this period, public universities were plagued with strikes, school riots and gangland activities from confraternities. These disturbances messed up the academic calendar year. You could end up using six years in a public university studying a four-year course.
Covenant University came in the midst of this mess. It promised a no disturbance environment that wouldn't mess with the school timetable. Other incentives included serene environment, quality teaching and a higher standard of education.
The fine print in the Covenant University contract had strict laws and guidelines. A strict dress code, conservative mode of dressing, no physical contact of the opposite sex and no phones. It was outrageous at the time, it still is.
Everything that a young person looked forward to doing in a university was ripped away in Covenant. This is still the order of the day at Oyedepo's University.
In social discussions, private university graduates especially those from Covenant were the butt of jokes. They were not spared for attending what some called a 'glorified secondary school'. It is believed that they paid their way through university.
The public university goers are proud of the freedom and liberty they have. Yes, strikes still go on and the standard of education isn't any better than it was in 2002 but the opinion is that public universities are lit.
Graduates from legacy universities, like the University of Lagos, Obafemi Awolowo UniversityUniversity of Benin,Ahmadu Bello University, and others have a superiority complex. They think they are better than their counterparts from private universities. The hardship faced by public universities is seen as a badge of honour, a passage of rites of sorts. They believed they are seasoned to handle life.
The argument on which type of university is better in Nigeria is almost baseless. The standard of education in Nigerian hasn't gotten any better since the advent of private universities. Some will say it has gotten worse.
The Nigeria educational system, especially in higher institutions, is the same. There is hardly any difference between education in public universities and private universities.
When private universities first came on board, most of its lecturers were from public universities. Many lecturers who were mere doctors in public universities suddenly became professors and Heads of Departments in private universities. Obviously, the fast tracking of careers without due process must have its negative effects.
Obafemi Awolowo University
Nigerian education is so bad that no Nigerian university makes the global top list of best universities in the world- private and public. If the quality of education isn't of international standard then why is this debate going on? It's just two sides of the same coin.
Nigerians are consumed about debates that mean nothing. Private universities are not better than public universities and vice versa. It's the same thing. Instead of this meaningless rhetoric on timelines, young Nigerians should be thinking of how the allocation for education in the annual budget can be increased.

Nigeria Air Force Helicopter Crashes Into River In Maiduguri, Borno State

A helicopter belonging to the Nigeria Air Force, has crashed inside a pool of water in a Borno State community. The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) confirmed on Thursday that one of its helicopters crashed into a pool of water in Maiduguri, Borno State. However, no life was lost in the incident. The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, has constituted a panel of inquiry to unearth the cause of the incident.

A statement issued by NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Olatokunbo Adesanya, said members of the board of inquiry are already in Maiduguri to carry out their assignment on the crash which occurred in the early hours of Thursday.
The statement reads:

See How This Pastor Scammed Atiku’s Wife Of N918M

Dickson Graymond, a retired detective of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Thursday told an Ikeja High Court in Lagos State how a pastor, Nsikakabasi Akpan-Jacobs, allegedly scammed Titi Atiku Abubakar, the wife of former Vice- President Atiku Abubakar, of N918 million.

The EFCC had charged Akpan-Jacobs; Abdulmalik Ibrahim, a lawyer; and Dana Motors Limited with a 14-count charge bordering on conspiracy, stealing and fraudulent conversion of property worth N918 million belonging to THA Shipping Maritime Services Limited.

THA Shipping Maritime Services Limited, a company created in 2000, is owned by Titi Atiku Abubakar; Fred Holmes, her German business partner; and Akpan-Jacobs.

Abubakar was allegedly the majority shareholder with 49 per cent shares, while Holmes and Akpan-Jacobs each had 25 per cent shares.

Akpan-Jacobs, who also doubled as the company’s Managing Director and Secretary, was alleged to have gone to the Corporate Affairs Commission to alter the shareholding in his favour and forged the company’s board resolutions.

He allegedly allotted 51 per cent shares to himself and 24.5 per cent shares each to Abubakar and Holmes.

According to the EFCC, wielding a fraudulent shareholding power, Akpan-Jacobs sold a property belonging to the company to Dana Motors Nigeria Limited for N918 million.

The property is located at Plot C63 A, Amuwo-Odofin Commercial Layout along Oshodi-Apapa Expressway, Lagos.

Graymond, while being led in evidence by Babatunde Sonoiki, the EFCC prosecuting counsel, during Thursday’s proceedings, narrated how he received a petition on the alleged fraud from Abubakar and how his investigation unraveled the depth of the scam.

He said: “In 2008, I was a detective working with EFCC Abuja. We received a petition dated December 12, 2008 from the law chambers of Benedict Benet and Co, the lawyers to the complainants, Florence Doregos and Fred Holmes, a German citizen.

“The petitioners alleged amongst other things that the defendants forged the board resolutions, memorandum and articles of association as well as the extraordinary board resolution of THA Shipping Maritime Services Limited.

“They used the same documents to obtain a loan from First Bank Plc and disposed off the bonded terminal and other properties of the company to Dana Motors Nigeria Plc.

“These properties of THA Shipping are valued at N1.2 billion and the disposal of these assets were not with the consent of the two other directors — Florence Doregos and Fred Holmes.”

The EFCC detective told the court how a representative of the complainant and the other parties involved in the dispute reported to the office of the anti-graft agency.

Graymond added: “One Barrister Chima Ezekolu, a lawyer to the complainant, came to our office with a power of attorney from the first complainant (Titi).

“He shed more light on the allegations of the complainant with some supporting documents and he gave a written statement to that effect.

“The supporting documents were the company registration documents from he Corporate Affairs Commission, some pictures and the share allotment document of the three directors.

“The original share allotment was that Florence Doregos at 49 per cent had 4.9 million ordinary shares, Fred Holmes at 26 per cent had 2.6 million ordinary shares, while the first defendant (Akpan-Jacobs) was allotted 25 per cent representing 2.5 million ordinary shares.

“We invited the first defendant to our office and we confronted him with the documents he forged.

“We had discovered that the initial share allotment of THA Shipping, which was 10 million ordinary shares, were changed from 49 per cent for Florence Doregos to 51 per cent for Akpan-Jacobs.

“Florence Doregos and Fred Holmes were each allotted 24.5 per cent shares. Akpan-Jacobs had the highest allocation of shares in the fraudulent alteration.”

The detective said that police analysis of the signatures proved that the signatures of Abubakar and Holmes were forged in the documents.

Graymond said: “The analysis was conducted by the Force Criminal and Investigation Department on the instruction of the law firm of Benedictine Benet and Co, the complainant’s petitioners.

“Inspector Ralph Nwosurike, who conducted the analysis, confirmed that the results of the report were authentic.”

Throwing light on the involvement of Dana Motors Limited in the case, Graymond said: “One Mr. Ishamani, the Indian Finance Director of Dana Motors, and one Mr. Ukpeya, the Legal Director of the company, were invited for questioning.

“We confronted them with the petition and their response was that they had earlier received a warning from the law office of Benedict Benet and Co. in respect of the transaction.

“They however said that they proceeded with the transaction based on reassurances from the first and second defendants that the matter had been resolved by the three directors involved.

“It was based on this reassurance they went ahead to consolidate the transaction. Dana bought the bonded terminal of THA Shipping and its assets at N918 million.

“They paid the money in three trenches. They paid N300 million twice into the bank account of THA Shipping Maritime Services Limited domiciled at First Bank Plc; N318 million was paid into the bank account of the second defendant’s (Abdulmalik Ibrahim) law chambers.”

Justice Oluwatoyin Ipaye adjourned the case to October 24 and 25 for continuation of trial.

Aregbesola Under Fire For Calling Davido’s Father Mad Man

The family of Isiaka Adeleke has fired back at Governor Rauf Aregbesola for describing business mogul, Deji Adeleke, as a mad man.

Deji is the father of famous singer, Davido.

Aregbesola had knocked family members of the late Senator Adeleke for using the death of the late politician to manipulate the minds of Ede people, saying that the deceased brother, Deji had gone insane because of the death of his elder brother.

Reacting, however, the Adelekes in a statement noted that the utterance of Aregbesola was not befitting of a governor, stressing that the governor, who had not held the television programme, ‘Ogbeni Till Day Break’, for some years, hurriedly organised one after the sudden death of Isiaka and he danced all night long during the show.

The statement read, “What’s more appalling is Aregbesola’s outburst – as widely quoted in major newspapers, that Senator Isiaka Adeleke’s sudden death ‘has affected the psyche’ of Dr Deji Adeleke. How? One may want to ask: If Aregbesola has a giant, a towering personality and eminent person like the late Senator Isiaka Adeleke in his family, and he lost such a distinguished personality to the cold hands of death, will he take to the streets and dance merrily?

“Why should Ogbeni Aregbesola carry politics to this ridiculous end and act like a tin god, who will never leave the office as governor and this transient world as a human being? To those of us living, inclusive of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, we don’t know how we will end up. Senator Isiaka Adeleke died gloriously. The whole world celebrated his death.”

“What is the sin of the Adeleke family in putting one of their own forward to contest the Osun-West senatorial by-election, if that is what is giving Ogbeni Aregbesola some concern.

“If Aregbesola is talking of a contentious Certificate of Occupancy, is he the one that provided the billions of naira that put Adeleke University up as the ‘Harvard’ of Nigeria?”

Nnamdi Kanu Threatens To Kill Obasanjo And Household

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has threatened to wipe out former President Olusegun Obasanjo and his household should he (Kanu) be killed.

Addressing elders and chieftains at his residence in Ibeku, Umuahia, Abia State on Thursday, Kanu said his organization would kill Obasanjo if he attempts to harm him.

Kanu’s threat came after former President Obasanjo commented that Nigerians must do everything possible to stop the campaigning for the secession of Biafra, a cause spearheaded by Kanu.

The former president made the comment on Tuesday while speaking at the International Conference Centre in Abuja during the launch of the biography of the late Brigadier Zakariya Maimalari.

He stressed that a failure to put an end to the Biafra agitation could lead to a repeat of the 1966 coup and the other events that eventually culminated in the civil war.

“I remember Obasanjo calling us names. They said we must eliminate Kanu and for those words coming out from his mouth, he is going to die,” Kanu declared.
“I told Obasanjo that I have given instructions to IPOB should anything happen to me. Everything that comes from Obasanjo’s lineage will die the same day at the same time. It is a standing instruction to IPOB.
“Wherever they are, we will kill them ourselves at the same time, the same day, 12 noon, wherever we find them all over the world. I am not like anything they have seen before,” Kanu boasted.

GIST -- I regret allowing my friend into my home

Eucharia thought she was helping her friend Joyce by accommodating her only for her to be hit below the belt when Joyce got pregnant for her husband.

This sad woman needs advice

My name is Eucharia, a 30-year-old married woman whosemarriage is on the verge of collapse because I rendered assistance to a friend who needed help.

My friend, Joyce, has snatched my husband, Cammy, and is currently carrying a three-months-old pregnancy for him.
The annoying thing is that my husband is carrying on as if nothing happened and wants me to either accept the situation or I should pack out of his house.
I have been married for six years without a child and I have ben praying fervently to God for His blessings but with every passing year, I become very worried and even though the doctors I have visited keep telling I am not barren and that I should not worry, I have lost confidence in them.
I have also visited some men of God who have prayed for me, given me assignments and fastings but nothing has ever come out of it.
Cammy and his family have been worried and even though they have supported me, I also know they have had meetings behind my back with a view to finding a solution to our childlessness.
So with my inability to give him a child and the fact that Joyce is pregnant for him, Cammy and his family seem to be very happy with the situation and are not worried about how I feel.
Joyce has been my good friend for years though we were not the best of friends, so when she approached me last year to help accommodate her after her landlord gave her a quit notice, I did not see any reason why I should not help her.
I thought that within a few months, she would be able to get an apartment, so I convinced Cammy to allow her to use our guest room since it was just lying empty.
But how would I have known the devil was sending her into my home to destroy my marriage. When she came in, she became a great help as she always cooked and kept the house clean before I got back from work.
Within a short while, Cammy and Joyce became good friends and I often found them engaging each other in political and sporting discussions but how was I to know they had more in common than met the eyes.
I only became aware when I noticed that Joyce was sleeping a lot, throwing up in the mornings and generally putting on weight. When I asked her what was wrong with her, she told me she had malaria and would soon be okay as she was taking medications.
But last month, Cammy woke me up in the middle of the night to tell me he had something very important to discuss with me. He told me that what he had to tell me would be hard to take but that I should just brace up and live with the situation.
In truth, what I had in mind was that he was going to tell me he was divorcing me due to my inability to give him a child. I was in deep trepidation when he jolted me to reality to tell me that he has been having a secret affair with Joyce and that she is pregnant for him.
He then told me he has decided to make her his second wife and that his family was aware and in support of his decision.
Since the day Cammy told gave me the news, I have been crying and blaming myself for allowing Joyce into my home. To make matters worse, Cammy has made me move into the guest room while Joyce has moved into our bedroom and is behaving as the woman of the house while treating me as the visitor.
My family has told me not to leave my husband while my pastor says she used juju to hold my husband and that with prayers, I will overcome in the end.
But for how long will I keep waiting for God to show Himself and restore my marriage?
Eucharia."
Dear readers, we have another serious case of betrayal of trust by two people Eucharia trusted so much. We want you to help her with some pieces of advice before she lost her marriage.

AGF Malami should be sacked for insurbordination to Osinbajo

SAGAY: AGF Malami should be sacked for insurbordination to Osinbajo

Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption (PACAC) Professor Itse Sagay (SAN), has argued that the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami’s opposition to Acting President Yemi Osinbajo was an act of insubordination capable of having him sacked.
Osinbajo had during an interview in April aligned himself to the position of a human rights lawyer, Femi Falana, that Magu’s appointment did not necessarily require Senate approval.
Angered with that statement, the Senate threatened that it was no longer going to confirm any appointment sent to it by the Presidency. It also demanded that Osinbajo withdrew his statement on Magu’s confirmation.
But Malami, who also is the Minister of Justice, was quoted to have said while briefing State House correspondents after last Wednesday’s Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting that Osinbajo’s statement that Magu did not need Senate confirmation was a personal opinion and not that of the body of ministers.
The Presidency later responded on the matter, denying that Malami said Osinbajo was on his own. It said that the Attorney-General’s point of view on the matter was that “decisions on Presidential nominations are matters for the Presidency and not the Federal Executive Council.”
However, in his reaction in a statement on Thursday Sagay said, “Malami was out of order because the constitution stated clearly that the opinion or decision of the President or acting President was final and could not be questioned by any minister.”
According to Sagay any minister who openly opposed the President or the acting President, deserved to be sacked going by Section 5(1) of the 1999 Constitution, which states that executive powers of the Federation shall be vested in the President, not in the Executive Council of the Federation.
He said, “The Executive Council of the Federation, also known as FEC, cannot have views that are separate or different from those of the President, or where applicable, the Acting President; otherwise, that will constitute gross insubordination and misconduct that can lead to dismissal.
“Therefore, the slant being given to the statement of the Attorney General of the Federation, namely; that the Executive Council of the Federation is entitled to meet in order to express an opinion or view on a matter on which the President or Acting President has already expressed his views or opinions is wrong, misleading and totally unconstitutional.”
Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, also did describe Osinbajo’s comment as a ‘‘personal opinion.’’
Meanwhile, Osinbajo rather than withdraw the statement, while speaking through Kaduna State’s Governor Nasir El-Rufai at an event in Kaduna on Thursday, insisted that Magu will remain EFCC chairman so long as the current administration continues in power.

Learn to talk like a lawmaker, Fashola tells Sen Goje

BUDGET FIGHT: Learn to talk like a lawmaker, Fashola tells Sen Goje

The Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, has chided Senator Danjuma Goje, saying the former governor does not speak like one who is a lawmaker.

Fashola, who expressed worries over Senate Appropriations Committee chairman’s choice of words and utterances, was reacting to the warning the Senate gave him on Tueday during its plenary.

The Senate had following a point of order raised by Goje, warned Fashola to desist from attacking the National Assembly.

It also cautioned him that the National Assembly is not Lagos State House of Assembly and must not be treated as such.

But reacting in a statement he signed himself and released on Thursday, Fashola hit back at Senator Goje, describing his utterances and choice of words as “unparliamentary and therefore not deserving of a reply.”

He however said that he was responding to the matter for the sake of refocusing attention to the issues at stake.

He said, “In this context, it is left for Nigerians to then decide whether budgeting for constituency roads is more patriotic than budgeting to complete the Kano-Maiduguri Road that connects five states, the Lagos-Ibadan Road that connects three states and helps to move food, imported goods and fuel across the country; or the second Niger Bridge that connects the South-East and the South-West geopolitical zones of at least 11 states together.

He said, “I will also leave Nigerians to judge whether it is more patriotic to budget for the Mambilla Power Project that will contribute to more power supply across Nigeria or reduce the budget to build street lights in legislative constituencies.”

According to the minister, the response to the issues he raised should not have been viewed as accusations, blackmailing the legislature or referring to those who shared his views as his “surrogates.”

Saying that the parliament is a House where very vigorous debates about development should take place, he called on Goje to try and get the temperament for such debate and disagreement.

“Let me reiterate that I see parliament as a house where very vigorous debates about development should take place and it is important for Goje to acquire the temperament of debate and disagreement,” he said.
He frowned at Goje’s comment that he should learn how to “behave” like a “minister” and the reference to the Senate awaiting how he would be “handled” by the House of Representatives.
The issues involving Fashola and the lawmakers followed the handling of his ministry’s budget by the National Assembly. He had a week ago tongue-lashed them for cutting down the money meant for some infrastructural projects under his ministry and described the legislators as having stark and worrisome understanding of budgetary process.
He has been summoned by Reps members to explain himself.
